Drake Hallow, one of the more standout titles showcased during IGN's Summer of Games, is hosting a free preview weekend courtesy of the Xbox Insider Program. Currently, it looks like only Xbox One players are eligible to join, which I for one think is kind of a bummer. But I digress.
Described as a "village-building action-adventure", Drake Hallow lets 1-4 players fortify defenses and fight alongside one another as they attempt to protect the local populace, aka the Drakes, from an assortment of otherworldly monsters.
From the looks of things, Drake Hallow seems to be heavily inspired by Fortnite: Save the World (remember that old thing?) combined with a splash of Pikmin, which sounds just fine to me. Don't take my word for it though, last week's reveal trailer included a fair amount of gameplay footage for you to judge for yourself.
The preview weekend has already kicked off and players who have the Xbox Insider Program app installed will be able to download Drake Hallow there.
