Remember Crysis? You know, that hardware performance utility masquerading as a sandbox FPS. Well, the game's long-dormant Twitter account has seemingly emerged from cryogenic stasis to tell us... something
It's anyone's guess what that means exactly, though it should be noted that this is the first tweet from the account in nearly 4 years, and comes only a few weeks after the game's website was updated with new content. Although the latter has been attributed to being little more than an April Fool's Day prank, this two-hit combo has many believing that either a remaster of the original Crysis, or perhaps even a next-gen sequel is in the works.
If it's one thing that the Crysis series is known for, it's for pushing hardware to its absolute limits. Considering that the next generation of consoles is just around the corner, the timing of this "soft announcement" is likely no coincidence.
I'll be updating this article with more information as it becomes available.
