Remember Fallout 76 - Bethesda's open-world survival game that's best known for its lackluster launch and a penchant for stirring up drama? As it just so happens, the game has actually been getting some positive press lately thanks to quality-of-life improvements and content updates. However, just when we all thought that Team Howard and the folks at Bethesda were making good decisions for its game, they go and do the polar opposite.

It's called Fallout 1st, and it's a "premium membership" for Fallout 76 that provides subscribers with exclusive perks. Despite the base game going for roughly $40, Fallout 1st finds itself in the uncomfortable position of being an additional cost. You can either pay monthly for $12.99, or, if you're feeling especially committed, put down $100 for a whole year. It should be noted that either option comes at the added price of your last remaining dignity.

Here's the full breakdown of Fallout 1st's benefits, courtesy of the official Fallout 76 blog.

Fallout 1st list of benefits

While private servers are a most welcome addition to any online-only game, the price seems a little steep for you're actually getting. Perhaps the most cringe-worthy benefit is an actual monthly allowance of in-game currency that players can use to buy items in the Atomic store.

According to Bethesda, Fallout 1st is simply the company's most sensible answer to player feedback.

Yea, okay Todd.
