The only thing that takes longer than saying "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition" is the amount of time it will take to play through the game's demo, which, from the sound of things, seems to be chalked full of content for players to dive into - no strings attached.
Launching alongside the retail version, the aptly named Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Lite will include the first three dungeons, which can be played in single and multiplayer - free-of-charge. If you decide to go the multiplayer route, which I would highly encourage, cross-play between the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and mobile will be supported. Plus, if one member of your party owns the full game, they can bring the whole group along for an additional 10 dungeons.
To further sweeten the pot, Square Enix has announced that saves will carry over from the Lite version to the full game, so you don't have to worry about that.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition, as well its Lite counterpart, is scheduled for release August 27th, 2020.
