League of Legends, the absurdly popular MOBA that has for years plagued romantic relationships and otherwise productive lifestyles alike, is now two steps closer to complete global saturation. This is because at tonight's Game Awards, two - count them - TWO League of Legends spinoff games were unveiled.

Riot Games, the folks behind League of Legends, recently established a new publishing division within their organization called Riot Forge. As the name might imply, their mission is to work with external developers to create games based within the League of Legends universe.

Ruined King: a League of Legends Story, was the first of those projects revealed during tonight's awards show. Details are sparse, but what we do know is that the game will be a "story-driven, single-player" RPG that's being developed by Airship Syndicate - a relatively unknown studio consisting of ex-Darksiders devs.

The second spinoff announced earlier tonight is called Convergence: a League of Legends Story, which will be a single-player action platformer centering around a character named Ekko. I'm pretty sure it involves manipulating time to some extent, but that's about all is know.

Both titles are very early on in development, and neither have been given a release date.
