Humanity - The Game

I can't for the life of me figure out what this is supposed to be, but it has droves of digital people on screen colliding with one another and marching in unison towards whatever end awaits them. Basically, it has "existential crisis" written all over it.

Take a gander at the trailer

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is cinematic AF

We've already received an extensive, hands-on look at its multiplayer, but everyone knows the real selling point of any Call of Duty is its campaign. I gotta say, from what I've seen - this Modern Warfare will be the most cinematic of all Modern Warfares. Also, Captain Price managed retain his signature level of badassary despite apparently being ripped through a wormhole that simultaneously sent him into the future while somehow de-aging him in the process.

Wattam you mean?

Not a whole lot of new details here, but the trailer is equal parts cute and absolutely fu***** insane. There's an anthropomorphic toilet that is gleefully flushing down sentient poop while frolicking through the snow. And I thought Katamari Damacy was out there.

For better or worse, Wattam comes out in December.

Arise, chicken

Arise - A Simple Story is a super indie game packed with beautiful vistas, dinosaur-sized sunflowers, a symphony orchestra-backed soundtrack that puts The Chronicles of Narnia to shame, and... zombies? Unclear.

From what I can tell, here's the synopsis:

Man wakes up in snow and goes on grand adventure across a fantasy world in search of something shiny and probably important.

That's all I know, really.

LA Niore: The VR Case Files is coming to PSVR

It took several years, but LA Niore - through its many trials and tribulations - is finally coming to the platform it was destined for: PSVR.

Some other new VR Games:

Espire1: VR Operative is coming out this month

Stardust Odyssy is scheduled for release in the vaguely not-so-distant-future of Winter 2019

After the Fall - Way after this Fall, sometime 2020

Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash!, Fall 2019

MediEvil has a demo

It's out now on the PS Store, and playing through it will earn players Dan's helmet for use in the full game. This same helmet didn't do Dan any favors in life, so I'm not sure what we can hope to gain from it this time around.

Civilization VI is coming to to PS4

I promise, it's probably more exciting than it sounds.

Death Stranding-themed limited edition PS4

Before you get your hopes up - no, the design doesn't feature a digitized version of a shirtless Norman Reedus, no matter how much I - I mean - we want it to be.

That controller looks pretty cool through.

The Devil went down to Georgia lookin' to party

Afterparty is a game that pits two recently deceased friends, Milo and Lola, against literal Satan in a contest to see who can party harder. No, I'm not making this up.

The Last of Us Part II is still coming

February 21st, 2020 to be exact. And it looks good, real good. I'm just gonna go ahead and share my notes:

  • Going out on horseback in the snow looks pretty dope; probably not as romantic as I think
  • Ellie gets captured and it doesn't look good (for the other guy)
  • Ellie pulls an arrow out of her shoulder like a total badass wow
  • Joel, my favorite silver-fox
