If ever there was a trailer that showed me that I'm too chicken to play a game, then today's brief look at The Outlast Trials did exactly that.
Originally announced late last year, The Outlast Trials is a departure from previous entries in the horror series due to its focus on co-op play. The real question is whether having your friends along for the ride will diminish what is typically an isolating and terrifying experience, or if a dependence on others might somehow become a liability. Judging from the trailer, I'm now leaning towards the latter.
Developer Red Barrel didn't reveal any additional details during today's PC Gaming Show, but as far as we know The Outlast Trials is still on schedule for a 2021 release.
