Nvidia has announced that it will be holding its GTC Keynote on YouTube on May 14th. The keynote was supposed to take place in March but sources tell me there's some kind of ongoing global event that is cancelling or delaying just about everything. Before anyone gets excited about RTX 3000 graphics cards, the keynote looks like it will more cover Nvidia's true bread and butter: data center and AI.
This isn't entirely bad news for us regular people. Nvidia likes to push their cutting edge into the server and AI space, followed by professional consumer and eventually GeForce/RTX products. But still, the possibility exists that we will see something about the new gaming cards, and the delay gives us all more time to sell some kidneys and reverse mortgage our homes to be able to afford one.
