Cross-platform support for everyone's favorite chicken dinner royale, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, will soon be coming to Xbox One and PS4. Announced during the Gamescom edition of Inside Xbox, PUBG Corp console producer, Koosung Jeong, says that this move aims to "make the pool bigger globally and also offer more competition".

Unfortunately, PC players are being left to their own devices - quite literally - as this initiative to bring their console-based counterparts together is, at this point in time, will not being extended to the PC version of PUBG.

Developer Bluehole is hoping to have cross-platform matchmaking between Xbox One and PS4 up and running by late September on test servers, and if all goes according to plan, we should see it rolling out to live servers in early October.
