In the immortal words of Buffalo Springfield: "There's something happening here. What it is ain't exactly clear."
Based on a few recent domain registrations, games based on Suicide Squad and Gotham Knights could very well be in the works by either WB Games Montreal, Rocksteady, or both.
First spotted by ResetEra, the domains suicidesquad.com, suicidesquadkillthejusticeleague.com, and GothamKnight.com have been registered by the MarkMonitor brokering service, which is commonly used by WB Interactive for registering online assets. While this could be a coincidence, there are some outstanding details that suggest otherwise.
For starters, WB Games Montreal told fans just last month to "stay tuned" after being pressed about a Batman-related tweet believed to reference the Court of Owls storyline. Although not necessarily related to Suicide Squad, the timing is questionable to say the least.
Additionally, VGC reports that developer Rocksteady was scheduled to unveil their next game during this year's E3. However, with that event's cancellation, it makes sense that the studio would pivot to another platform for their grand reveal.
It's entirely possible that a new game set in the Batman universe could be announced in the coming weeks, but for now, it's probably best to file this one under speculation until more details surface.
