In what is certainly to be a surprise upset, Minecraft fans from all around the world have apparently voted for the "Mountain" biome to be redone. Can't say that I saw this one coming, but the people have spoken.
According to Mojang, this overhaul to Minecraft's mountain biome aims to make them snowier and mountain-ier to an extent never before fathomed. Additionally, an all new animal will be introduced to the region - goats.
The "Biome Vote", as it was called, consisted of three new or revised biomes - Swamp, Mountains, and Badlands. While I was almost certain that the Badlands would win the vote, considering that it was the most "original" of the three, I clearly do not have a very good gauge of the Minecraft community's wants and needs.
