If you ever played the original Shenmue, then you'd know that its core, detective-noir narrative comes second to the plethora of side quests and mini games that paints the game's protagonist, Ryu, as a chronic procrastinator with undiagnosed ADD rather than a determined vigilante who will stop at nothing to find answers. That is to say - if he isn't being accosted by back alley thugs for asking too many questions, then chances are that he is chasing high scores at the local arcade or helping some disillusioned youth find food for their kittens. Honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Fortunately, this latest trailer confirms that Shenmue's upcoming third iteration is once again incorporating the ultimate crux to Ryu's journey by throwing in all manner of activities for him to partake in.

I'd imagine that it can be quite exhausting having to grimace all the time over lost honor or what have you. Sometimes, Ryu just needs to relax a little bit - perhaps by perusing the community farmer's market, or letting off a bit of steam at the local fight club.
