Blizzard is offering 100% experience boost in World of Warcraft

For (probably) the first time in our societal history, people are being encouraged to adopt the introverted, reclusive lifestyle that some of us have been living for years, so the standing invitation to log into World of Warcraft and sink hours, days, and even weeks into a fictional world of fantasy decidedly absent of the Coronavirus seems more enticing now than perhaps ever before.

This is likely the exact reason why Blizzard is giving new and returning players a whopping 100% experience boost between now and April 20th, which, as a testament to these unprecedented times, strangely one of the more responsible things the company has done in recent times.

Appropriately named "Winds of Wisdom", the buff applies to anyone playing World of Warcraft retail (sorry, Classic, but you know what you're there for) and even stacks with heirlooms - bringing the total up to 155%. Wowza.

With Shadowland's 2020 release looming just ahead, anyone with the vaguest interest in returning to WoW to show their main some love or starting yet another character will be hard-pressed to find a better excuse.
