Yesterday, a Microsoft Store listing appeared for the upcoming Crysis remaster, which was accompanied by a gameplay trailer. Said trailer made its rounds throughout the internet and, unfortunately, didn't exactly wow the pants off of people.

Let's face it, had any other game been met with the level of "meh" that Crucible did when it released a few weeks back, that game almost certainly wouldn't be given second chance to redeem itself. But Crucible isn't just any other game - it's Amazon's first foray into the gaming world, which the mega-conglomerate seems to be very much invested in at this point. As a result, the company is taking unprecedented measures to revive the ailing free-to-play shooter by effectively un-releasing it.

With former basketball all-star Shaquille O' Neal being a Papa John's board member and franchisee, it was only a matter of time before the pizza chain made full use of their in-house celebrity to sell some pies. That time has finally come, as the company unveiled early today the Shaq-a-Roni: an extra large, extra pepperoni and cheese, thin crust pizza.

A fair amount of evidence has surfaced suggesting that Ubisoft is looking to tap the seemingly bottomless vein of the Battle Royale genre. After several corroborating tweets, followed by a new website springing up out of nowhere, it's probably safe to assume that Far Scape will be the Montreuil-based publisher's answer to Fortnite, Apex Legends, and the like.

Dying Light's Hellraid DLC looks like a delightfully meta tromp through one of Techland's forgotten games

As if an undead uprising isn't problem enough for the surviving inhabitants of Harran, why not throw in a demonic arcade cabinet capable of transporting unwitting players into a hellish dungeon terror. You know, just in case they were getting a little too comfortable in that high-rise-condominium-turned-fortress they call home.

The only thing that takes longer than saying "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition" is the amount of time it will take to play through the game's demo, which, from the sound of things, seems to be chalked full of content for players to dive into - no strings attached.

That's right folks, it's that special time of year once again. A time when Gabe Newell descends from his ivory throne to bestow upon us mortals a bounty of cheaply-priced games.

The Waylanders gameplay

The Waylanders is shaping up to be a solid CRPG, but has its work cut out for it

Luke Hardwick | 3 years, 9 months ago

Rome wasn't built in a day. In fact, I'm willing to bet it took way longer than that. This is the sort of mentality I take going into The Waylanders, which I believe is on course to becoming the sort of RPG that Bioware could have made prior to selling their soul to EA. It's just going to take some time.
