The season of miracles continues to inspire, as another game by previously defunct then rebooted Telltale Games gets to once again see the light of day. The irony, however, is that the latest title to be granted a second wind is Telltale's Batman series, in which the titular character avoids daylight like his job depended on it, which it kind of does.

Batman: Shadows Edition isn't simply a re-release of 2016's Batman: The Telltale Series, but rather a re-imagining that features a new visual experience to give the caped crusader's story a more Sin City-like hyper-noir aesthetic.

But don't take my word for it, the launch trailer shows you everything you need to know.

Notice the exaggerated black and white makeover that only uses color to draw attention to certain on-screen elements. Pretty edgy, right? Well, for those who aren't especially enthused by this new artistic direction can still play the game in its original form.

Batman: Shadows Edition includes season 1 and 2 of Telltale's original series, and is out now for PC via Steam and Xbox One. Switch and PS4 owners will have to wait a little bit longer to get their claws on a copy.
