According to a listing by Austrian online retailer Gameware, the newest Need for Speed is inbound and launching sometime this year for Xbox One and PS4.
Originally uncovered by serial leaker Nibel over on Twitter, the listing in question has this year's entry titled "Need for Speed Heat", this name along with the game's "box art" should be taken with a tire-sized grain of salt. As Nibel goes on to address in subsequent tweets, the cover art was pulled from a Need For Speed No Limits update, while the logo is based off of a fan-made Need for Speed 2019 speculation video.
We more or less already know that a followup to to 2017's Need for Speed Payback is on its way, but it's more than likely that this "leak" has nothing to do with it. As of this writing, Gameware's listing for Need for Speed Heat turns up blank, so it very well could have been a pre-maturely published placeholder.
