When the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer aired back in April, most people couldn't get over the apparent design choices for the titular character's 3D model. As many were quick to express, the original version of the blue hedgehog was off - to be it mildly. So much so, that the film's studio ultimately opted to delay the film's release so that they could go back and give Sonic's look another go. Several months have passed since then, and today we were given our first glimpse at the revised Sonic with a trailer showcasing the character's new look.
Already, the internet's reaction to Sonic's revision has been significantly more positive than that of his original rendition. More than a handful of folks have taken to social media to endorse the blue hedgehog's new look, as well as to commend the film-makers for their efforts.
Barring another public outcry or unforeseen disaster, Sonic the Hedgehog releases in theaters February 14, 2020.
