'Twas the night before AGDQ, and all through the halls, was a congregation of gamers, preparing to speed run for a good cause.

If you didn't already know this about me, the bi-annual Games Done Quick is amongst my favorite gaming events - and for good reason. Twice a year, a bunch of nerds pack into a hotel's conference hall for a week-long charity drive that involves speedrunners breaking their favorite games in an effort to raise money for a good cause. It's great, on so many levels.

This year marks the the event's 10 year anniversary, so you know it's gonna be lit. In fact, a quick glance at the schedule indicates several new additions to the line-up of games to be effectively eviscerated, such as Untitled Goose Game, which I'm confident will make for quite a rowdy spectacle.

Over the past decade, Games Done Quick has managed to raise an astounding $22 million dollars in charitable donations for various humanitarian causes and medical research.

If you're not local to the Orlando, FL area (which is where it's being held), the event will be streamed in its entirety via the official Games Done Quick Twitch. Festivities kick off tomorrow morning at 8:30am PST and run until January 12th.
