Destiny 2 receiving cross-save feature

According to a dataleak that has now been confirmed by Kotaku, Destiny 2 will be receiving a cross-save feature when it launches on the Google Stadia platform later this year. This of course means that players will be able to share their saves amongst all supported devices - with the exception of PS4, which is notably absent from the lineup.

This news is obviously great for gamers, and will hopefully set the tone for AAA releases going forward having similar features that ensure players' progress isn't tethered to any one console or device. It's certainly interesting to see that Google Stadia has already begun defining accessibility in gaming before it's even been released, with still very few details having surfaced concerning its platform.

Bungie will be hosting a livestream tomorrow at 1pm EST, where they are expected to officially announce their plans for cross-save, as well as providing more details on the recently leaked Shadowkeep expansion. You can probably also expect to hear more about Destiny 2's roll in Stadia's launch plans during Google's press conference tomorrow at 12pm EST.
