Massive announced D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions Episode 1, the not-at-all-cumbersome name for the next piece of content coming out on July 23 for season pass holders and July 30 for the rest of us. Aside from the usual menu of new items, weapons, and (good looking) quality of life changes, we're getting two new postgame missions and their appropriate locations. Massive is also adding a new, more forgiving Discovery difficulty for the raid with matchmaking. Massive is currently debating on which loot will be available for the new "easy mode," though anyone who has done enough matchmaking in Division 2 or Destiny should know that matchmade randos increase the difficulty more than anything.

Also coming in Episode D.C. Expeditions Outskirts: 1 is the new, eponymous Expeditions mode. The blurb from the announcement sums it up pretty well:

When Agents receive what appears to be a final broadcast from a military convoy at Kenly College, they form an expedition to find any surviving members in need of rescue. Expeditions are split into three different wings for players to complete. Each wing has a specific theme and tone, and will be opened to players on a weekly basis. Completing all three wings grants access to an exclusive treasure room full of rewards.

This sounds pretty exciting for sure, as The Division has historically benefited rather well from having a large buffet of game modes to stave off the staleness (Lookin at you, Survival).
