Rainbow Six: Siege is taking a brief trip to the old west with a new, limited-time event titled "Showdown". As the name suggests, this new event will have operators dueling it out cowboy-style in a 3v3 death match using (mostly) period-appropriate weaponry.
Showdown matches are set in the battle-torn ruins of Fort Truth - a new location exclusive to the event that will play host to the inevitable rootin' tootin' bloodshed. As far as the meta goes, the premise is fairly simple - Some bad dudes stole a sizable amount of gold from the wrong people, and the law has been sent in to get it back. Naturally, negotiations are off the table.
In addition to the cowboy-esque makeover each operator is receiving for the event, players will have the opportunity to earn all sorts of yeehaw-infused collectibles to express their inner-outlaw.
