Red Dead Redemption 2 reference found in Rockstar Social Club source code

It's continuing to look more and more likely that we will be seeing a Red Dead Redemption 2 release on the PC, it's just a matter of when. While not explicitly confirmed, there have been numerous hints ranging from comments made by those all the way up at the top to source code in the game's companion app that would suggest it's happening.

The latest of these "hints" come from Twitter user JakoMako51, who in a tweet shared some source code from the Rockstar Social Club that seems to indicate that it's being readied for RDR2 "accomplishments" on the PC platform. For those unfamiliar, the Social Club is Rockstar's community hub for all of their games that includes a friends list, achievements, leaderboards, etc.

Again, while not explicitly acknowledging an upcoming release, this bit of data is just another in a long line of evidence that supports the theory. As pointed out by PCGamer, the context for the snippet of code in question appears to imply a connection to platform-based achievements - such as PS4's trophies. However, a quick google search did not pull up any reference to "accomplishments" in connection with the Rockstar Social Club, so there's that to consider.

In any case, let's just up that all of this speculation and data-mining will eventually pay off.
