While most folks are busy ringing in the new year in all manner of festive ways, those who had planned to celebrate earth's rotation with a round or two of WWE 2K20 appear to be having an especially difficult time doing so.

Reports are coming in from all corners of the internet claiming that the game has been rendered virtually unplayable for those who have crossed the threshold into 2020 - the irony of which is inescapable. According to these reports, players trying to navigate the game's main menu are experiencing game-breaking crashes and fatal errors.

Although WWE 2K20 has experienced a fair number of setbacks since its release, this particular bug is a real head-scratcher. This is because it appears to be entirely contingent on player's local time, and the only known fix is to set your system's clock back to 2019.

It's unclear why a game with 2K20 in the name is having such a difficult time working in 2020, but given WWE 2K20's turbulent history, it's not entirely surprising.
